Blog to tell the world about what we're up to, and we'll see what else.

Going out to choir practice this evening, rather hoping to sing Kalia to sleep, she's fed and bathed but in a bit of a "I'm too tired to sleep" mood.
I won't bother explaining blogs to you, as you already know.
This photo shows the tower after which La Tour-de-Peilz is named (though nobody seems to know where the Peilz comes from), which was taken last week. Today it has been half-heartedly snowing, except this evening where it seems to have picked up a bit. Just as well, after all the stories we've been hearing from France, Italy and the UK, we were starting to feel left out!
Yesterday I worked half the day from home and took the other half off, which means my day ended up a bit like my brother's 'shopping list' from yesterday. So unfortunately, there was no time left for blogging. By the way, Kalia was both four weeks and one month (03/02-03/03) old yesterday.
I had another little think about yesterday's post today. But rather than the content, it was more the style; I wonder whether three parentheses in a two-sentence paragraph isn't overdoing it a bit. The thing is, I think that way - with parentheses and ellipses (not sure whether ellipses is the plural of ellipsis) - I don't know whether it's because I'm a programmer, or because I read too many Victorian novels in my ill-spent youth.
Translating oneself two days later is a bit difficult, (especially as I don't know whether I agree anymore?), I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a paraphrased version - my attempts at 'proper' translating were just too french.
English version tomorrow, sorry.
The wonders of modern technology. Boys of all ages like their toys, and here's what I did with one of mine today! I deliberately took this photo with unsightly dustbins and lamp-post, just to see if I could 'disappear' them. I did, and I'm very chuffed with myself!
Here’s a photo of Kalia sleeping with her Daddy while he reads his email. It’s a bit cheeky to sleep for Daddy when she’d been crying at Mamma for most of the day (and night). Anyway, shortly after this photo she woke up again. But now she’s sleeping…
Kalia already has 230 swiss francs in her Post Office account, which isn't bad for someone who's only three weeks old. If it were to continue at that rate, by her 18th birthday, she'd have 72000 francs!
Here's a photo to show you that Kalia doesn't always just sleep or smile (honest, she has smiled!), and also that she doesn't like things on her head (as we discovered today).
Had a good weekend with my parents (finally got a photo of all three of us). They were able to have plenty of turns holding Baby - Mum even got a 'medal' on her jumper! Drove them back to the airport at one of those times from another universe.
Some people believe in prayer, others don't (though I suspect that those who would say they don't do a bit, and those who would say they do often don't)
Today, Kalia met part of her family tree: her paternal grandparents – now known as Pop and Gran (inherited from my paternal grandparents; as my grandmother is still alive, she becomes Great Gran or ‘GG’ for short)
It's Daddy's privilege (and pleasure) to be 'chief bather' of his little Princess. I also chose this photo to show you how alert she is, even at two weeks old. It just goes to show that even if she took her time coming out, it's 'cos she had some unfinished business.
Here you can check out S____s junior practising her royal wave. Note the gaze suitably averted so as not to make direct eye contact with the plebs.
