Kalia a voulu nous montrer le coin où elle a fait sa journée scout. C'était très très joli, et on y retournera certainement.

Kalia took us to the place where she finished her big walk with scouts a few weeks back. Very nice indeed and we've promised to return with a picnic sometime.

Quartier Libre

Ce week-end de Pâques on a fait deux fois Quartier Libre. Dimanche on était les 4.

Etant donné que c'était censé pleuvoir tout le week-end, on s'en est bien tiré avec seulement quelques gouttes. Par contre la nature se réjouit moins. Ca fait un mois qu'il n'a presque pas plu du tout (je crois). Le Tessin est en alerte rouge pour des feux de forêts. Au mois d'avril!

Easter weekend we did two lots of Quartier Libre. On Sunday 'en famille'.

It was supposed to be tipping it down all weekend, but in the end we only had a few drops. Good for those of us who were outside, not so good for nature: it has hardly rained in over a month, I believe. Some parts of the country are on red alert for forest fires. In April!

Moi: bonne question, mais qu'est-ce que t'en sais, peut-être qu'ils étaient bruns, alors d'où viennent les blancs?!

Summer ... Eté

Il a fait très chaud cette semaine ici. Magnifique, mais très/trop sec.
Heureusement il est prévu qu'il pleuve prochainement.
Malheureusement c'est pendant le weekend!

Exploring

Samedi, Kalia était partie en journée scout, alors Rebecca est moi sommes allés faire notre propre exploration, en dehors des sentiers battus.

On Saturday Kalia went on a long walk with scouts, so Rebecca and I did our own exploring, including this steep climb.

On a trouvé un joli coin pour manger notre piquenique.

We stopped at the top for our picnic, with this amazing view below.

Un sandwich bien mérité.

Definitely worth a sandwich.

Le but était de trouver "un étang" pour voir les insectes. On a dû se contenter d'un marais (et de frai de grenouille).

The aim was to find a pond to observe the insects. We had to make do with a marsh (and frogspawn).
