Keeping up ...

J'utilise The Old Reader (existe en français)

If you're interested in keeping up with the Snowden/NSA revelations, the place to go now is The Intercept.

If you are interested in keeping up with EVERYTHING you're interested in, you need a 'feed reader'. (In the past you may remember me mentioning the now-defunct Google Reader.)

I use The Old Reader.
Here's how:
  • Go there, and sign up, either by creating a new login/password, or your existing Facebook or Google accounts.
  • Once you're in, click on 'Add a subscription', and type in the name of a website you want to keep up with (like benjol.blogspot.com).
  • Carry on adding all the sites that you want to keep up with. Note that if they don't provide an 'RSS' feed, it won't work, but many still do.
  • Now you don't have to go to each site individually, you just open The Old Reader and have everything that's new in one place
  • Note that you can fiddle with the settings to have things the way you prefer. I like it set up like a big list in my email inbox so, I have this:
