Durant les vacances scolaires nous avons fait nos premières 'vacances suisses' (à part quelques nuitées aux bains chaud), en commençant par le zoo de Bâle, où il ne faisait pas super beau. On a presque réussi à tout voir, même si vers la fin on courrait!
During the school holidays we did a Swiss 'tour' - the first time (apart from the odd night in hot baths hotel) we've done holidays in Switzerland. We started at Basel zoo, where the weather was not great. We just about had time to see everything, though we were rushing at the end.
Les primates avaient des grands enclos, avec une partie dedans et une partie dehors. Ce grandpère gorille avait l'air de s'ennuyer à fond. Le contact visuel est déroutant.
The primates have lots of space to move around it - inside and out, though this venerable gorilla seems pretty bored. The eye contact is mildly unnerving.
J'aime les lémuriens...
I just love ring-tailed lemurs...
Pas franchement exotique par rapport à d'autres animaux du zoo.
Peacocks aren't particularly exotic, but they were all preening at the same time, I had to wait a while to get three heads up.
Je ne suis pas un grand zoologue, certains animaux j'ignorais complètement, et je ne me rappelle déjà plus leurs noms. Le nez de cette 'souris' m'a surpris...
Not being a great naturalist, there were lots of animals I'd never seen or heard of, and most of them I can't remember the names (if I looked). The nose on this 'mouse' is intriguing.
