Alsacian weekend ... Week-end alsacien

Here we are, back from a very short weekend in Alsace. We went to say goodbye to a friend who is off to Chad soon, to spend 2 years there looking after premature babies. We also got to meet her parents, who kindly put us up, and some of her friends.

It sure was cold though - colder than here. The photo was taken this morning when the weather was at its best! But we received a warm welcome, and even got to meet some familiar faces (including friends from here).

Kalia was very good, as ever, despite having to put up with 3 hours drive each way, being dragged around from one house to another, and not being able to go to sleep at the normal time. She even found the energy to practice walking a bit - except that walking is less interesting when there are stairs to climb!
