More catching up ... Rattrapage

(May 2022 continued). In the UK, we played music, and games...

We went for walks through fields of sheep and lambs...

On a pris le 'Severn Valley Railway' pour visiter Bridgenorth...

On a mangé une 'petite' portion de Fish & Chips...

We ate 'little' portions of Fish & Chips...

On a cuisiné...

We cooked...

On s'est promené au soleil.

Mais ironiquement, on est reparti juste une semaine trop tôt pour la jubilée de platine de la reine Elizabeth. Du coup, c'est de retour en Suisse qu'on a été invité à un 'garden party' pour des expatriés, où on a dû trancher...

And we went for walks in the sun.

Ironically, we left just a bit too early for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. So, it's once we were back here in Switzerland that we went to a Jubilee celebration garden party, where we had to sum up the courage too...

Une fille a eu ses 17 ans, et l'autre 14. J'ai réussi à trouver une photo où il n'y a pas de fille qui soit identifiable (à part par quelqu'un qui les connais déjà). (Février & mars 2022)

How can I go about catching up 16 months without any posts?

Well, one daughter turned 17, the other 14. I managed to pick out a photo where no young ladies are identifiable (except to people who know them). (February & March 2022)

J'ai essayé de cuisiner des oreilles de porc (oui, vous avez bien lu). Et elles ... n'étaient pas délicieuses (Avril 2022).

 I tried cooking pigs ears (yes, you read that right). And they... weren't delicious. (April 2022)

On a fait un saut de quelques jour à Mus, à Pâques, et une visite très ensoleillée (avec glaces) au Grau-du-Roi. (Avril 2022)

 We nipped down to Mus at Easter, and had a nice sunny (and ice-creamy) outing to the Grau-du-Roi.  (April 2022)

Les filles ont regardé le film 'Raya et le dernier dragon' avec une copine, et j'en ai retiré cette très jolie photo (Mai 2022).

Aussi, avec les filles je suis allé en Angleterre, mais ça vaut un billet à part.

Silence

Un très long silence depuis la dernière fois. C'est que peu de jours après nos vacances, j'ai eu un accident (sur la photo, le tas d'habits découpés qu'on a récupéré après coup de l'hôpital).

En plus, peu de temps avant, une de mes seules lectrices assidues est décédée.

Et quelque part, WhatsApp me permet de transmettre les infos (et photos) sympathiques à ma famille en directe.

Donc un évènement qui a forcé une pause, et deux circonstances qui freinent la reprise.

En même temps, je n'ai pas de journal personnel où je note ce qui se passe. Et les peu de fois que les filles sont tombées sur le blog, elles étaient contentes et intéressées. Du coup, je me dis qu'il faudrait au moins continuer, même si mon lectorat se réduit à moi-même (et peut-être mes enfants) plus tard.

Long time no write. A couple of weeks after our holiday, I had an accident (the photo is of a pile of shorn up clothes we got back from the hospital afterwards).

Also, shortly before that, one of my only readers died.

And with WhatsApp, I tend to keep family up to date with news and photos as things happen.

So that's one event which forced me to stop writing, and two circumstances which hold me back from starting again.

However, I don't have any other record of my life or thoughts. And when the girls happen on the blog occasionally they are often happy and interested. So I'm thinking maybe I should carry on, even if the only readership is going to be me (and possibly my daughters) later.
