Feeling old ... Vieillard

Last week I helped pull a disabled guy up two flights of stairs in his wheel chair. He wasn't light, and I didn't warm up beforehand (that's just for doing sport, right?).

The next day I was ok - slightly sore muscles.

The day after, I just bent down to pick something off the floor and ... Oops, not good.

The following morning, after taking more than half an hour to get out of bed and get my clothes on, and being completely stumped by the socks, I figured I'd be better off spending the day in bed.

The doctor's verdict: "You're not 20 any more, you know".

And, "when it hurts, we're motivated to do the exercices, but when it stops hurting, we tend to forget."

Perseverance? Yep, I've heard of it.
