Inspirés par notre visite des Salins, et un commentaire de ntore ami Samuel, on a décidé d'essayer de faire nous-mêmes du sel. Donc il a fallu ramener un bidon de la plage. Et Rebecca a appris ce que c'est qu'un filtre (il y en avait besoin, c'était une ouate blanche dans l'entonnoir).
Inspired by notre visit to the saltworks, and a passing comment from our friend Samuel, we decided to try our hand at salt making. On a trip to the beach we got some sea water. And Rebecca learnt what a 'filter' is (the cotton wool in the funnel was white when she started pouring).
On a trouvé un bac en plastique qui faisait l'affaire, il ne restait plus qu'à trouver l'endroit le plus chaud/ensoleillé, et attendre...
We found a nice wide shallow plant-pot stand, and then all we needed to do was find the sunniest, hottest spot, and wait...
