Political ...

A quoi bon?

I don't do political too often on this blog, but the idea of US & co attacking Syria really gives me the heeby-jeebies.

What is the point? I mean what is the 'end game'? What would it achieve?

Make our politicians look good? Stop them from looking powerless (which is what they are)? Turn attention away from Snowden fallout?!

I just can't see how bombing either faction in the civil war is going to help anything along. And in a weird turn of 'my enemy's enemy is my friend', we'd be siding with foreign (to Syria) islamist terrorists!? I don't think that will win anyone a Nobel Peace prize (wait, no, too late).

Another thing that shocked me was a quote (can't find it now) basically saying: "yeah, we're going to attack, we're just looking for a legal basis." I would naively hope that it would be the legal basis which would help you decide whether to attack or not.

//In other news: check this out (I'll wait while you do).

What shocks me the most? This phrase: "He was the new thing on the market."

Expletive redacted!
