Schönbrunn

Vendredi, malgré les prévision, la météo était merveilleuse. On est parti à pied pour le zoo. Sur le chemin on a traversé un parc avec une jolie place de jeu.

Friday, despite the weather forecast, it was beautiful weather, so we set off for the zoo at Schönbrunn. On the way there we walked through a park, with a play area.

Le palais de Schönbrunn est magnifique - et on peut le visiter, ainsi que son parc .

This is the palace, pretty snazzy. And you can visit it, and the park (which is 'normous).

Sur le rondpoint devant, il y a quatres statues.

There are four statues on the roundabout/plaza in front of the palace, we did a photo in front of each one...

Cette magnifique fontaine fait echo a une encore plus grande derrière.

Here inside the square inside the palace grounds, in front of a lovely fountain (I only spotted the "don't walk on the grass" signs afterwards!).

Les filles auraient voulu faire un tour en calèche, mais je préfèrais plutôt qu'on se dépêche pour profiter du zoo!

To the girls' great regret, we didn't go for a ride on one of these.

Le parc et jardins du palais sont énoooooormes.

The park and gardens are breathtakingly big.

Pendant que Kalia a essayé d'apprivoiser un écureuil. Après toute une journée au zoo, je vous laisse deviner quel était son animal préféré!

While Kalia tried to tame a squirrel. At the end of the day, after spending hours in the zoo, when I asked her what her favourite animal was... I'll let you guess!
