Romainmotier, l'église

     

On ne change pas un cheval qui gagne, alors pendant que Madame faisait les derniers rangements avant de rendre notre maison de vacances, on est allé à nouveau visiter Romainmôtier. On a attendu la fin du culte pour pouvoir aller visiter à l'intérieur de l'abbatiale. Il y avait deux personnes qui jouaient de l'orgue, avec encore deux personnes pour changer les jeux.

C'est vraiment une église protestante: très très sobre, mais majeustueux et beau aussi.

Not wanting to break with tradition, while Madame was tidying up the holiday house before leaving, we went and visited Romainmôtier again. We waited for the service to finish so we could go in and look at the church. There were two organists practising together, with another two people to change the stops!

In comparison to a Catholic, this is a very 'naked' church, with little ornamentation and no bling, but very majestic and awe-inspiring all the same.
