Il y a deux semaines, on a eu une visite 'surprise', que quelques uns reconnaîtront peut-être. Ce n'était pas une surprise dans le sens que c'était pas annoncé. Mais c'était la première fois qu'il remettait les pieds chez nous depuis 8 ans*.
Two weekends back we had a 'surprise' visitor, who some of you may recognise. It wasn't a surprise, in the sense that it was announced, but it was 8 years since the last time he was in our house*.
On a profité du temps magnifique pour faire le 'Tour du Haut Lac'. We made the most of beautiful weather to go for a 'Tour du Haut Lac' with him and his fiançée.
Les couleurs d'automne sont magnifique, et je bénis les aïeux qui ont eu le bon sens de planter beaucoup de types d'arbres différents. The colours at this time of year blow me away, and I am immensely grateful to the people who had the foresite to plant more than one kind of tree around here.
La lumière d'automne est super aussi. The light isn't too bad in autumn either!
Voilà l'Ile de Peilz. Il y a un bateau de dragage (je crois) sur la gauche, que j'ai zappé à l'aide de l'informatique. Il y a un photographe célèbre (à l'échelle Suisse, et dont j'oublies le nom) qui en a fait sa spécialité. Voilà quelques clichés.(*C'est le plus jeune oncle de Kalia, si jamais vous vous rappeliez pas).
This is the "Ile de Peilz", there is an unsightly dredger to the left, which I Photoshopped out... There's a famous (for here) photographer who's made it his speciality. Check a few of these out, most of them are probably by him.(*It's Kalia's youngest uncle, in case you didn't recognise him)
