Remembrance day ... Se souvenir

Voilà, pour ceux qui ne l'ont pas connu, une photo de Gran avec Kalia, prise au mois de Juin quand nous sommes allés pour la fête de ses 90 ans.

Elle était formidable comme grandmère, je suis très reconnaissant d'avoir pu apprendre à la connaître comme adulte, et d'avoir eu (je pense) une relation privilégée avec elle.

Je me rends compte que je vais aller à l'enterrement pour moi d'abord, pour entamer le deuil comme il faut.

For those who never met her, here's a photo of Gran with Kalia, taken in June when we went for her 90th birthday party.

She was an excellent grandmother, I'm very greatful to have been able to get to know her 'again' as an adult, and to have a closer relationship with her than.

I realise that I will be going to the funeral for myself primarily, to help me get a grip on the reality of what's happened.
