Le weekend de l'Ascension, j'ai décidé que c'était une bonne idée d'aller se promener un peu en montagne. Une des deux filles était d'accord, la deuxième a eu besoin de... encouragement!
A few weeks back I thought it would be a good idea to go for a little hike in the mountains. One of the two girls was motivated, the other one not so much!
Mais comme à chaque fois depuis ses trois ans, au bout de cinq minutes après le départ, elle était contente et on a passé un chouette moment ensemble. But it was the time as every other time since she can walk - after protesting wildly, five minutes into the walk she was happy and chatty.
C'était encore la période des narcisses.Rebecca a trouvé l'idée de s'inventer une histoire pour se motiver. Alors on disait chacun son tour une phrase, jusqu'à ce qu'on soit arrivés en haut.
There were lots of narcissi (?) on the way.Rebecca found a great idea: of telling a story to help motivate ourselves. So we did 'take it in turns to invent the next sentence'. Fortunately our walk took a more direct route than our story did!
Et en haut il y a un restaurant et on a pris un bon quatre heures pour se féliciter.Ici on voit les Dents du midi en fond.
At the top there was a restaurant, and in the restaurant there were nice things to eat and drink, to reward ourselves for the slog. (You can see the Dents du Midi in the background of this photo).
